After I accidentally chose a different blue to paint outlines for a Scottish seascape, I had some fun choosing some other colours for the rest of the painting.
This limited colour palette includes:
- Indanthrene Blue
- Yellow Ochre
- Cadmium Yellow
- Titanium White.
I have used Indanthrene Blue as the Mother colour. Each colour mix shown has at least a small amount of Indanthrene Blue.
I started by mixing Indanthrene Blue with Titanium White. Gradually adding more Titanium White. Then, I mixed Cadmium Yellow with each of the blue mixes. As you may see from my enamel palette, I worked from left to right, then from right to left. I have not practiced an orderly way of mixing paint yet.
