This week I added a Winsor Blue to my watercolour palette. This particular blue was mentioned in a list of colours in a book on watercolour painting techniques that I will share with you another time.
For now, you can see that I started to see some of the different tones of blue that are possible with Winsor Blue, as I painted this water portrait painting grisaille. At least, I intended this to be a grisaille on top of which I would glaze with other colours. However, my partner really likes this painting as it is.
This is a work in progress, as I feel that some aspects of the portrait require more definition.
